These self-deprecating remarks have emerged from letters in the photographer Fay Godwin&#8217;s archive, recently <a href=\"http:\/\/arts.guardian.co.uk\/art\/news\/story\/0,,2278270,00.html\">acquired by the British Library<\/a>.
